About Walk & Wag
The second annual Walk & Wag event will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from noon until 4pm at beautiful Heckscher Park in Huntington, New York. Walk & Wag is organized by Give a Dog a Dream, Inc. and its partner, the Town of Huntington. All proceeds from the event will be used to support dogs at Huntington Animal Shelter by enhancing their health and adoptability. There are many ways to support and participate in Walk & Wag. Sign up to walk your dog, become a vendor, become a sponsor or all of the above! See below for participation links that interest you. However you participate, you can take heart in knowing that you are helping shelter dogs live their best lives while awaiting adoption.
